By accessing and using PDF Redact Free ("the Service") at pdfredactfree.com, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PDF Redact Free provides a free, client-side web application for redacting PDF documents. All document processing occurs entirely within your web browser. The Service does not upload, store, or transmit your files to any server.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including:

  • Redacting personal information from documents before sharing
  • Removing sensitive financial or medical data from PDFs
  • Preparing legal documents for public filing
  • Personal, commercial, or professional document processing

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use the Service to:

The Service is built on open-source libraries (PDF.js, pdf-lib) under their respective licenses. The PDF Redact Free brand, design, and original code are our intellectual property. Documents you process remain entirely your property — we never access or acquire any rights to them.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT REDACTION WILL BE PERFECT IN EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE. YOU SHOULD VERIFY ALL REDACTIONS BEFORE SHARING ANY SENSITIVE DOCUMENT.

Always review your redacted PDF before distribution. Open the downloaded file to confirm that all sensitive areas are properly obscured.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDF REDACT FREE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

8. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the applicable courts of competent jurisdiction.
